Pretty much convinced that it's never going to rain again.

Stretched in the heat?!

Bonkers traffic today, no idea why. 2 main roads that are normally full-ish but free flowing were stationary for their length. Makes coasting down the cycle lane even more enjoyable. Apart from keeping eyes peeled for silly hooks.

Nothing much to report other than a p'ture in the morning. The PM was a little more interesting mainly because I looped in the wrong direction on nice country lanes some of which a new (maxi) mini wouldn't fit down they were so narrow. I didn't dare stop to take a picture until I was at the end of the narrowest, and ironically most picturesque, lanes and they widened; such was the overgrown high hedges and lack of visibility on route.

You'll have to settle for street view of the most picturesque, although streetview doesn't do the overgrown lushness of today justice:

I got to the station expecting the 7:15 pm train to be empty, it was packed but some good old boy (just back from a London to Brighton recce) had got in there first so cycle space wasn't full of luggage or people :-)

Did my usual train to Blackfriars with Brommie and then ride around 2 miles to office in Wapping this morning.
This evening I decided to ride a bit further to Vauxhall, about 4 miles, get train to Wimbledon and ride the 5 miles back…got to Vauxhall, a gazillion people outside the station which was closed! Train issues
So I ended up riding the whole way! Nearly 16 miles, a lot of pedalling on little wheels. Was pretty done in when I got back but probably saved a fiver or more on fare.

Scalped a lad on a dodgy electric bike this morning. Not gone far from home, but on a track at the side of a field, and the lad shortcuts over the field. Then blasts his horn as some poor unsuspecting bloke who was walking to work. The bloke looked a little shocked as I passed, I said a cheery 'Good Morning, the lad is on a dodgy ebike'. ''I know' he said.

Off I set, caught him very quickly, so just hopped the rear wheel and locked it up, scattering gravel. He didn't move so hopped again and he shifted to the side this time. Shot past him and left him for dust. He caught up about a mile later whilst I was waiting to cross a junction. Left him for dust again, never to be seen.
