I've never seen the attraction of those American ovals.

That's what I used to think, until I got involved with the ASCAR and Pickup Truck series when they raced at Rockingham. Also got to see the Champ Cars there during that time, and lets face it, it takes a load of balls to race in a pack at speed just inches away from a concrete wall. That's regardless of whether it's a single seater or a late model saloon.

In comparison, F1 drivers are wimps.

It will be interesting (again) they sort of failed with McLaren I think due to lack of track time, then RB came along & were prepared to let them use Torro Rosso (is that what they were called at that time) for a year to do unlimited on track test time, running 4 cars certainly helped them, who will be the other team, Haas, Andretti?

At one point Porsche were trying to do a deal with red bull if I remember rightly but that seems to have gone quiet

I thought it fell through because they wanted a major control & make it Porsche Red Bull, not Red Bull Porsche
