A private family joke in a way as an oft told story in the family is the time back in the '60s went into a local draper's shop and when asked what sort of trousers he wanted, replied he wanted a pair of Saturday night trousers.

The post by @tyred has just reminded me that I have a pair of ballroom dancing shoes that haven't seen any action for a good few years now.

Mrs stephec used to have over 30 pairs of heels, and an unknown number of boots, the collection's been trimmed now though so is probably only in the teens.

I'd had my walking boots over 30 years when i replaced them this year. They were hand-me-downs.

My replacements are cast-offs from my son!

I've not done a full count but I know I've got more pairs of footwear than I have bikes.

Look. I 'm not exactly Imelda Marcoss, but I have hoards ,
I think you need to define the definition of 'Footwear' for instance I have around 4vprs of Welly boot, at least the same amount of wet shoes for when I'm boating, , 2 or if dress shoes , nope that's 3, 4 prs of cycling shoes , one of which are sandals, a pr of walking boots ,a pr of walking shoes look , I am running out of what I actually wear ....
So the answer is countless hordes....excluding the novelty slipper socks, and I am not exactly a follower of fashion.
