Are we counting knackered old shoes of various kinds that "will probably be OK for gardening" and are now home to innumerable spiders?

They are what make up the majority of my innumerable hoards.

Know what they say 'Ne'er cast a clout...but thats more to do with woollen undergarments, but I do keep hold of old clogs for those 'special' moments when you doing some messy job.

I saw these today in Elan Boutique in Clitheroe, Lancashire, which is a place I often buy from. The top pic is a bit blurred as you can see. Do I need another pair of shoes/boots and if I do, which should I buy.I prefer the bottom ones, but are they too casual for me, maybe even too young for my 64 years?🤔

1 pair of steel toecap work boots (for work)
2 pairs of Sketchers 'casual' trainers
2 pairs of running shoes (actual running trainers)
1 pair of walking boots
5 pairs of crocs :surrender:
1 pair of shiny 'dress shoes' for when I have to look 'nice', usually against my will.
1 pair of wellington boots.

This doesn't include cycling shoes.

I added one brand new pair of (cerise) mountain warehouse walking boots to my roster.

After the winter, my old gardening shoes are going to go in the bin as the right sole is falling off, and my current dog walking boots will then be relegated to gardening wear.

How about fitting road cleats to them and doing a Time trial?
We do have to distinguish between pukka Crocs' and knockoff ones.
Sure I'd slum around In a pair day round ,if I could,
In fact one season I did ,when I went of sailing, wore them clean through on the sole, most alarming when they got wet, they made that farting noise as I walked along, a bit like putting your hand in a sweaty armpit🤮
