I probably have about 15 or so pairs of shoes and boots I wear regularly, 6 or 7 I wear occasionally and around 10 to 12 I hardly or never wear. I have shoes I've bought and hardly worn still in/with their box. I should/could sell them on fleabay, but I can't be bothered and I might just want to wear them one day. 🤔

As a follow up to the “How many bike..” thread
For me it’s :
3 pairs “best “ for town, pub and such,
1 pair for work, except when I need to wear,
1 pair PPE “steelies”
1pair trainers for dog walking,
1pair hiking boots for extreme dog walking.
2 pairs carpet slippers.

Would help with the refinement regarding owning and using. Especially in the case of my present partner (got to 49 years, yesterday)

Mrs stephec used to have over 30 pairs of heels, and an unknown number of boots, the collection's been trimmed now though so is probably only in the teens.

Not counting cycling shoes I have three pairs.

Summer trainers, winter walking boots, posh shoes. Becuase I have so few the main ones generally last a season and get binned.

I think that’s it. Not worn the Chelsea boots in 5 years. The deck shoes were bought to get married in, although I should have just worn Birkenstocks.
