I'm in the uncountable hordes class, there's half a dozen pairs I wear regularly but 20+ that only come out once a year or so. Not worn my smart black Leather 'dress' shoes for years (no Weddings/Funerals to attend) but they're polished and ready to go should the need arise.

Umm...

Many but all with particular purpose.

Work shoesx2
Trainers
Squash shoes
SPD shoes
Road bike shoes
Everyday shoes
Walking shoes
Walking boots
Wellies
Gardening shoes (ie knackered of above)

Probably forgotten a couple. [Edit: sandals, slippers]

I think that's into the "uncountable hoards" category!

I tend to keep shoes more or less forever, get them resoled if possible 'cos I'm both stingy and in possession of huge baguettes which makes buying shoes a real PITA. And I hate shopping anyway (except for bikes and food).

I saw a pair of walking boots at a fantastic price and bought them. They're still in the box waiting for my old boots to finally fail.

I bought the new ones in 2016!!!
When the Brasher franchise moved from K-Shoes to Guimar they changed the design so they didn't fit any more, so I ended up searching high & low for an alternative. When I found that K-Shoes were making a Brasher clone called the Wainwright I bought two pairs so that I'd be covered in the future, and then never even wore out the first pair whilst the second are still in the box unused after 28 years.

Will they still fit? I don’t know if it’s because I wear running shoes pretty much all the time, but my feet have definitely grown both in length and width in the last 20 years.

here is my entire collection - not exactly the man-about-town like Accy - pity really I have always sort of hankered for that sharp dressed man look - just never quiet got round to it
Top coat, top hat
But I don't worry 'cause my wallet's fat
Black shades, white gloves
Lookin' sharp, lookin' for love
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
'Cause every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man

I think everyone in my family is channelling Imelda Marcos, as there are over 30 pairs of shoes just within 2 metres of the front door, and that's not nearly all of 'em.

I have at least 25 pairs, ranging from roller blades to Loakes, including walking boots, SPDs, deck shoes, PPE shoes, PPE boots, gardening shoes, wetsuit boots, flip flops and trainers.
