Morning chirpy bollocks

Is it that time of the year when you get the tin bath out, and treat yourself to your annual family scrub down?

Or maybe northerner’s skin just naturally turns shiny this time of year, to compensate for the 2 hours of rainy daylight you get.

Or maybe you should just p!ss off, and leave my natural smooth as silk legs out of it :reading:
 you're not a morning person are you

It might explain why most people avoid me before 10am

Still at least we have a royal wedding today to warm the hearts of all us loyal subjects... makes me proud to be a tax payer...

In other news I’m officially on the waiting list for the neo bike! All paid up but the estimated despatch is around Christmas. So one day soon I’ll actually be able to join in the general excuse making rather than just talking shite on the sidelines

First proper race, without setup issues. Forgotten how hard maintaining threshold effort.

Reasonably happy, stayed with mid pack B group until final climb then faded. Numbers are down, not worried, base training currently. last in B pack not by much though and a head a C cat winners. So I'm still a B cat rider- yay . Just!
You wasn't last in B, someone came after you :okay:

No racing for me again today, need to finish the TT challenge  Only 50 miles to go

Having to wait a couple of months for a new turbo has made me think about getting my pain cave ship shape. I don’t want to make it so welcoming the missus tries to reclaim the room! But seeing the recent computer discussion made me think about a more dedicated set up. I’ve got a MacBook Pro I used up until now, which seemed fine generally. Is anyone using Apple TV instead? Or something better? Pls assume I know F all about computers in general, but I like Apple as they seem to take pity on the simple folk like me...

Tommy I know f all about anything IT myself but can offer advice on doing up the man cave, as you touched on don't go too mad, I insulated my cabin in the garden and put flooring down, electric and internet.
gradually it has been taken over with sofa/bed and a tv for the kids to play x box on!
I have had to fabricate a leak to put them off a bit so be very careful :okay:

The latest ATV seems to work well for most people. Graphics are pretty good, no issue with frame rate. But some users struggle with BT especially after a Zwift or ATV/IOS update. There’s the Apple 2 active bt devices limit but you can get around that by using your phone as a bridge. I don’t think you ride with HRM anymore so wouldn’t be an issue anyway. Not everyone likes the remote but if you are using your phone less of a problem.

FWIW I have run Zwift via BT on my iPhone with no issues at all.

Just to add in Tommy, if you plan to race in Zwift you'll need to have a HR monitor for results to be accepted. You will be DQ'd without a HR monitor

I think you’d be proud of me Bert! I know exactly what you mean mate. So far I’ve resisted even admitting there’s an aerial for the tv!

I started off by suggesting we put a tumble dryer in the spare bedroom as it wasn’t often being used as a bedroom. I don’t want to blow my own trumpet too much... but that really was a master stroke even if I say so myself! As it kills it off as a spare room in one move. Next step was white washing the walls and putting up the type of shelving that screams out function and practical over style. The fact it’s only one coat of white paint over the previous colour really leaves no room for misunderstandings either. I then proceeded to load the shelves up with well organised boxes of cr@p! By the time I whipped the bed out of there, and put the flat screen tv on the wall, it didn’t even really seem conversation worthy to be honest. Admittedly eyebrows were raised when I installed the dimmer switch next to the turbo to control the 3 fans I’d installed but I think it’s fair to say it was already check mate by that point. Unless of course the missus reads this at which point I’m fecked!

Maybe I’ll just stick with the MacBook for now and see how it goes. I like the idea of having really nice graphics but it’s not really a priority.

absolutely beautiful work there, :okay:
I think a few more nights of me going back in the house moaning about how cold and damp it is might do the trick, even though I go in sweating:eek:

Orchestrating a fake burglary in which your children’s Xbox gets pinched might ‘seem’ a little extreme, although it would give you free reign until Christmas. At which point you just box up and wrap the Xbox, and save yourself some money in the process!
