Congratulations on your imminent upgrade @Joffey - looks like you'll be in the #68 team for next season of ZRL?

Even if you do get upgraded to B now you will be able to complete the season in CCC Team because you've done enough races there before the upgrade

You're in the fantastic position of increasing power and losing weight right now, so not surprising that you're moving up a category! Well done

With those watts he will be dragging us along the flat in the TTT's. With someone shouting in his ear to keep going 😄

I had an immense amount of Type 2 fun in this week’s TTR Mini Race - just 5.9k at Bologna (finishing on the drag at the foot of the climb). To say it was frenetic would be an understatement! Entry is on 5 minute power so I was right at the bottom of the As on paper. I got a bit tailed off as the road kicked up, but salvaged 9th/12 As, and was 30s ahead of the first of the Bs. Highly recommended for anyone working from home!

So how long did the race last?

Have done one of Bologna mini-races before and as you say, they are completely exhausting for something that's over in under 10 minutes! While you don't do the actual climb itself, that last km does ramp up just a little bit and breaks up the groups you were in for the first 2km big time as you approach the finish line.

I won my race in D (once you stripped out the obvious out of category riders) by basically holding on to the mid-C's and lower B's for as long as possible. Great fun, but certainly couldn't do that every day as it would destroy my legs!

Blimey that is quick! I'll have to give one if those a go some time.

If you're interested in joining us for some longer races we have two Cat B team's racing in the ZRL every Tuesday and there's often room for another rider if you want to put your name into the general squad?

Just signed up for the 17:30 Hare and House on the flat roads of Richmond if anyone fancies a spin.I'm in Cat C, but there are some B's in there too so expect the group to be pulled along quite fast. 40km but if legs hold up should be a good workout :okay:

Give us a look at the course for next week's league ride.

Who remembers the days when @Joffey came in about 5 minutes after everyone else in our handicap race series?! You've really come on a lot since then Joff, well done and I'm glad those early race experiences didn't put you off!

They never did mate, they just spurred me on. I didn't expect to ever come other than last but maybe just a bit closer to the lad finishing above me ^_^

Okay @bridgy , I think I’d be up for that now. I can only do 19:45 (kids’ feeding/bathing). I don’t really understand how ZRL works, though, so go easy on a newbie! My broadband is kaput at the moment but hopefully Openreach will sort it soon, fingers crossed by Tuesday.

Sounds great!
A few questions...
Am I guaranteed a race? How many weeks? What happens if I can
What does your racechat entail? Is it through WhatsApp? Or do you mean Discord?
What do I need to do to my Zwift or ZwiftPower profile to show that I belong?

cheers guys,
Tim
