Anyone got any experience of medial collateral ligament strains?

Well I think it's that... It's on my left leg on the inside behind my knee. A pain when I lift my leg up. Can cycle at 65-70% effort without much discomfort but not sure if cycling (or walking) might be making it worse.

Started with it after Tuesday's race. Did a 20 mile outdoor ride yesterday which hasn't made it worse so hoping gentle Zwift rides will be ok.

See your GP and get a proper diagnosis. You may be right but best to be safe. Rest, ice and ibuprofen as Andy says. Doesnt sond like there is any instbility but if there is that should hasten a gp's insight.

I have had medial knee pain problems .
What has helped me is heat moldable insoles and cleat wedge , supports the arch .
Dropping the saddle a few mm can help also - you can be sacrificing one leg whilst favoring another if saddle too high .
I have started regularly doing mobility and strengthening exercises- glutes, hamstrings, knee, abductors, calves, ankles .
The pain is often a symptom of a problem somewhere else in the kinetic chain .
I have found this YouTube site useful.

Just did an "anti sandbagging" B event

Bar 1 person at 3.8w/kg, the first 11 riders were 3.9w/kg or over (the winner is 4.1w/kg)

I know it's only a game, but assumed the anti sandbagging races DQd people like this?

Results are 95% of 20mins power, assuming this was a short crit?

Ah yeah, I forgot about the 95%.

Yeah the crit series, so it;s just over 16km for the Bs. Quite a fun lunchtime workout except today I lost the list on the right hand side, so had no idea what group I was riding with or if people were surging etc.

I think this is a common bug at the minute.

20 minute B limit is 4.2 w/kg (i.e. 95% of that = 4 w/kg)

Would be nice- except for the fact they'll tell you that you have to keep wearing your mask because you can still potentially pass it on :okay:
Unfortunately, I/we are going to need to wait for you whipper snappers to be vaccinated :hello:

Speaking with a care worker, they are scheduled around here to vaccinate 40 yr olds at the start of next month ^_^
