I have recently treated myself to some zwift play controllers ,still getting used to the steering .As an experiment this morning I completed the course Danger noodle , obviously a twisty course using the rollers of titans both ways . I tried to take the shortest line on the course possible as I crossed the line I ticked over to 31.5km the companion app has the course listed at 32.3km anyone know if that's accurate? .If it is that's a saving off 800mts !!!!
A little high but believable for a twisty circuit, in races I routinely do about maybe 2-300m less than others on shorter courses and I don't always take the racing line if there's a pushing peloton as I'd rather be in draft.

Altho more recently my steering haywires and pushes me off to the extreme left every now and then to keep things interesting 😂

I'll see you there. I'm racing at the same time.

Well, I say racing, but it's more likely to be a Zone 2 recovery ride. Found out last week that I've had pneumonia.

After a chest x-ray, my 3rd course of antibiotics seems to be getting on top of it. The whole thing started with a cold, possibly Covid, at Christmas and has been rumbling on since then, through a second cold and 2 earlier courses of antibiotics.

Got back on the bike last week, but I think I'd be better off following a very slow pace partner right now!

Holy sh!t Del. I hope you make a speedy recovery. Pneumonia can be very nasty

I was talking to a colleague, he's been ill for weeks, so has most of my family (who keep infecting me )
🤬
I've been ill on and off since very early January. This being the worst bout. I'm beginning to slowly get better, but it's varied, I have some improvement, then fall back. My RHR during the day has been 65bpm where it's normally 42. Today it's gradually dropping to low 50s BPM. Hopefully this is a sign I'm winning the lurgy battle.

I did a ride yesterday at 85W, it felt much harder than it looked. I had to do it to keep my Zwift counter going. I'm on week 65 of consistency 😁

There was a recent update to correct this swerving to the side.

I find if I'm getting dropped on a twisty course, taking the shortest line gets me back into the pack.

Yes that sounds about right on a twisty course.

I certainly use that method to help me hang on when I'm racing above my pay-grade

You can really make up ground if you take the inside line while pushing a bit harder - ideally staying just in the draft as well.
