Yeah kind of. Mine sounded like there was a loose bit of metal knocking around in there. Some times sounded worse than others.

I'd be happy to post you the removal tool if you like - I lent it to @Del C recently and I think he successfully sorted his out. Send me a PM if you want to borrow it and we can exchange addresses etc
I can thoroughly recommend the Cheddar hire service. @bridgy went straight down the Post Office and the tool arrived next day!

Had the same experience and couldn’t find any sign of metal shavings, but the Neo has been quieter since I cleaned it out. I also regreased the spindle and free-hub. I still get an occasional metallic noise, which seems to go if I briefly spin the pedals backwards - not sure if that indicates a loose metal particle or just something slightly out of balance in the mechanism?

I did see the Cheddar supplier for the Tacx tool. Paul denied any knowledge, so I bought mine from Latvia (top eBay recommended supplier) and thankfully it arrived without any Brexit related import problems.

Here’s an exciting picture I sent Paul over Christmas!

I nearly went with one of the many (identical?) Latvian sellers but brexit is causing import issues. Really interesting to see the community of fixers keeping NEO’s going with reaxel and the bearing kit’s.

I haven’t seen any axel or bearing kits. I assume they’re on eBay as well? Must take a look!

The bearing should be easily available from a bearing supplier. Try and get SKF, FAG, good quality named bearings from Japan or Germany. eBay sell alot of unbranded bearings, with poor quality/tolerances

Del, the info about the reaxal kit is on Tacx NEO FB group with a link to the how to video at Drew Tacx Faqx site. This is a C&P of a recent post and a link to the UK maker/supplier.
“ If you would like to have one right away, you first need to know your axle type and frame spacing, and whether you use any spacers with your non drive side insert on Neo. Tacx have wisely moved away from the mode of using spacers to account for differences in axle length because a modular solution is a weaker solution. More convenient, yes, but weaker. Therefore ReAxle is a single piece, so you need to be pretty exact about what you are ordering. We will cover all of this in the video, so if you are not sure, just hold out a bit longer.

Once you have all that information, simply send an email to etowartengineering@gmail.com (Euan Towart is the engineer who brought this product to life for us all) with the size that you need, your shipping address (to calculate shipping costs) and a phone number. Euan will then send you an invoice via PayPal. Once your payment is received, the product will be on its way to you very shortly thereafter.

All you need is a very manly torque wrench capable of at least 60Nm, and a 24mm six point socket, and you are set.”

It does make a massive difference having a smart trainer martin. Whichever you go for, it’ll be a much more immersive experience obviously. I have a friend who wanted to buy a neo and was told a month wait at least. Don’t know if you’ve spotted one somewhere.

Wiggle said they were in stock. I've checked again today with them and Chain Reaction and they are now out of stock. Guess I'll have to move quicker

Well I got all excited when logging on to Zwift today - it seemed that the latest update had unlocked steering on my Wattbike Atom, to be controlled by the buttons on top of the handlebars. It showed up on the pairing screen successfully and I had the steering wheel icon with "ON" next to the drops counter, so I thought I was all set to go!

Then I started pedalling and found myself constantly U-turning with no ability to stop! Unpaired steering and it went back to normal. Checked the bike over to make sure the buttons weren't stuck down on anything, but couldn't see anything wrong.

Went to the Zwift Forums and found that it's a bug - it wasn't meant to be enabled for the Atom yet (Zwift staff said on the thread it was supposed to be for the Kickr only so far), but I guess it's picking up something that's common in the Bluetooth signal for both bikes and has accidentally gone live. Shame - was looking forward to trying that.

It's a shame that i can't order anything anymore from UK. Actually i can but it's no sense. Last week i order sport drink from Wiggle, i also forgot brexit. Now i wait when the package arrives and how much i have to pay taxes.

I wonder if it would be cheaper for one of us to order something for you and send it to you as a ‘gift’. Or is it cheaper for you to order from Europe? I’ve ordered quite a bit of stuff from euro ships bike-24 and starbike in the past. They’re normally pretty competitive with price.
