I never had one myself but I always thought people usually knocked their own up out of stiff plastic or such like, fitted over the rear brake bolt between the brake and frame. Such folk always seemed to have those little leather hoops round their hubs too, to keep them polished.

I have similar little clearance on some bikes, I find it's those newly laid cheap "Crush and Run" road surfaces that are a nightmare.

It's under the brake caliper where the road stones will get stuck, sometimes jamming the wheel.

Yes that's true thankfully got quite a bit of bridge clearence

I think I was wrestling with the elderly wheelnuts at the time and it was in a bike stand.

A very minor fettle from me tonight. As expected the new gear cable I had fitted last night had marginally stretched so I unscrewed the deraileur cable adjuster by a 1/4 turn.

Fitted a Tubolito inner tube to replace existing. First time tyre and tube have been removed from the tubeless ready rim, had been concerned removal and replacement might be difficult 'on the road' but all went well and able to remove tyre using the levers on the multi tool I carry on the bike and re-fit tyre using my thumbs only

Tried to get my Cub running today, after flushing out the tank and numerous attempts to kick start it we realised that the coil was knackered.

but fitted some new knee pads to cheer myself up.
