Didn't like it, or 'HogFather', but really enjoyed 'Going Postal'

Maybe that was due to Angua & Adora Belle????

this weekend I've watched...

Oh Mr Porter (1937)... a daft slice of harmless fun.. lacks a proper plot but hey... it's Will Hay
The Small World of Sammy Lee (1963)... set in Soho, a strip club compare has five hours to find £300 which he owes to the mob. Full of familiar faces, and well worth a watch.
Paper Tiger (1975)... David Niven plays a tutor to an ambassadors sons and amazes him with his war time adventures... then they get kidnapped. Great stuff.

Went to the cinema to see Mad Max Fury Road last night with a mate. I'm a big fan of the first Mad Max film, and I like the second also. We were both in the same opinion of this film, the action was brilliant, visually and audio-wise it was awesome, but the script was really thin, it was about nothing really (a two hour chase), we just thought apart from the action it was a bit non-descript. Even though the first two films are essentially revenge/action films they have more about them than just visuals, as lets face it back then films had to, without the CGI that is available now. . You could of wrote Tom Hardy's lines on a sheet of A5 paper, as he says next to nothing. Its a film that has to be seen at the cinema, the end chase is the best action I have ever seen in a film. It is better than most remakes, but regarding the Mad Max trilogy which I'm a huge fan of, this is the third best film out of four. The film should be called Mad Charlie, as she dominates the film, Max is really a non-entity. All just in my very own humble opinion.
6.5/10

Mad Furiosa, Shirley?

That's a fair assessment though I disagree that nothing happens. I thought it a glorious set up for what's next, which I reckon will be a different take on Road Warrior.

This will end up being the trilogy that Miller wanted to make originally.

heresy - what a thing to say. Thunderdome was brilliant ! Tina Turner only has a handfull of lines and totally dominates every scene she's in by sheer presence. And the ending was fantastic and moving. Really rounded off the series which went from B-grade exploitation movie, to post apocalytpic adventure movie, to Thunderdome which had real greatness about it.

that's what i meant... Thunderdome is so perfect, so amazingly written and passionately shot that it would be heresy to even try to match it.
