Yep, can't beat em.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
You would say that.

Expendables 2 for me tonight as well, the scene where Chuck Norris turns up at the airport is hilariously over the top.

Cheek. Begger off. My god, have you seen his face? Talk about having a face lift or what.

Paranormal Activity. It was OK, didn't mind the slow burn and there were some genuinely creepy moments but the end was a little bit lame and predictable. 6.5/10

Sorry to be a killjoy (again), but yes, you can... when i wasted a small chunk of my life watching Taken, i thought "I never want to see this bloke on screen ever again." He's down there with Cruise, Damon, Hanks and Williams. This may sound harsh, but with soo many films out there, one needs a filter.
 one mans meat...if we all liked the same (not just films), it'd be a boring world.
I feel the same about Stallone. IMO. one of THE crappiest actors ever to 'grace' the screen. But, he's not there just to please me eh...

Miss Meadows

Prim schoolteacher Miss Meadows (Katie Holmes) is not entirely what she appears. Well-mannered, sweet, and caring, yes, but underneath the candy-sweet exterior hides the soul of a vigilante, taking it upon herself to right the wrongs in this cruel world by whatever means necessary. Things get complicated, however, when Miss Meadows gets romantically entangled with the town sheriff (James Badge Dale) and her steadfast moral compass is thrown off, begging the question: "Who is the real Miss Meadows and what is she hiding?"

Different and odd, but enjoyable

Totally agreed with you on Taken. I don't understand why so many folk love it. Bang average action film with an unconvincing 'hard man'.

Rare Exports

An odd little Finnish Christmas film. I'm wary of saying too much, in case of spoliering - my take was that it parallells the standard "real" santa, discovering the meaning of Christmas fare, with a far darker take on it. Great performances from the leads, if a little "why are they doing that" at times. Worth catching, but probably not one to watch with the nippers.

Rare Exports is absolutely brilliant. One of my favourite Christmas films - stuff your Miracle on 34th Street!

Up there with Senna as a pinnacle of sports documentaries. Heartbreaking stuff that exposes the pressures of the pro cycling world and exposes the UCI as a shower of bastards. It's on Netflix which you can get a free trial of for a month. Watch it.
Was the film in English (apart from the foreign language speakers) or did you need subtitles?
