We watched Rush last night. I really enjoyed it.
I will watch it again on the living room TV, rather than the little bedroom one soon. We were tucked up under the duvet as we both feel a bit ropey.

Last night i watched another good horror movie called Savaged.Kind of like a cross between I Spit on Your Grave and The Crow.

Its starts off with a mute/dumb girl who drives out into the country only to be harassed and violated by a gang of rednecks, the rest i will not spoil for you but if you like your horrors like i do then give this little known movie a checkout.Low budget but quite a decent flic.

Taken, on TV last night. Can't go wrong with Liam Neeson can you ?
Relentless violence, complete lack of pity from an ex (I assume) special forces operative who's daughter is kidnapped.
Love it, fast moving, scary criminals, one man against them all.

La Horde.

An end of the world battle between gangsters, cops and zombies.

Don't bother. It was totally crap and not even the fact it was french, so the lead female action figure was very clearly braless under her tank top, helped in the slightest. It was a what can I get from the 4 of £10 category to qualify for the offer dvds, so nothing lost (other than the time taken to watch it) , but not one i well keep!

Up there with Senna as a pinnacle of sports documentaries. Heartbreaking stuff that exposes the pressures of the pro cycling world and exposes the UCI as a shower of bastards. It's on Netflix which you can get a free trial of for a month. Watch it.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Expandables 1. Yes I know. A lot of old guys (apart from Jason Statham) chasing each other around, but it's good entertainment value and easy to watch. Expandables 2 is on channel 5 tonight, so, I'll be recording it to watch tomorrow. Good film, easy to watch as I said., and you won't feel as if you have wasted a couple of hours of your life.

Out of the Furnace, beautifully filmed, first-rate cast, Bale and Affleck are both excellent as are the rest of the cast and it it's a pretty good line up too. It's not perfect but still manages to keep a decent enough story going, it's a fairly grim affair from start to finish. Couldn't really work out what the very last (still) scene signified.

From Dusk till Dawn. A real oddity. Standard fare Quentin Tarrantino up till half time: great one-liners, well-executed gratuitous violence, excellent performances by the leads (the man himself and George Cloony, playing a Bad Man very convincingly) - then all of a sudden Tarrantino seems to have dropped a tab or something, because it turns into a full-bore, no holds barred, slasher/vampire/undead gore-fest. No real segue or connection: the most extreme cinematic 'game of two halves, Brian' I can recall. Still, excellently done and a lot of fun.

Sorry to be a killjoy (again), but yes, you can... when i wasted a small chunk of my life watching Taken, i thought "I never want to see this bloke on screen ever again." He's down there with Cruise, Damon, Hanks and Williams. This may sound harsh, but with soo many films out there, one needs a filter.
