Sounds good

a pub with dogs in it is always a good thing!!

Dog lovers here and we like dogs in pubs, too.

Exceptions:

Dogs allowed on seats or in owners laps snuffling around on table tops.

Wet dogs shaking themselves near where we are sitting.

Dogs that can't keep quiet.

Morning all all, a meet up with a bunch of widows and widdowers at The Old Bank in Liverpool is the plans for today, it will be a good time with lots of laughs. We enjoyed the Bridgette Jones movie last night, even though a lot of it was about grief.

Off to see that tonight, looking forward to it.

I get quite jealous of people who can sleep as much.

I went back to bed at 08.30 (I think) and woke again at 11.30.
Daughter did me a full English so I have just stuffed my face with it. I thought it was way too much but I won the battle.
Toast, egg, waffle, bacon x 2, mushroom, tomato.......yummy.

I'm with you with dogs sitting on the furniture and at the dinner table. There seems to be a fashion for having these little fluff ball crossbreed poo things on the lap or it's own chair in a pub.
Dogs, no matter what size should be on the floor. They are not children.

Re dogs in pubs.
I am not a dog lover by any means.
Some years ago I went for a walk in the country.......it was raining. Came across a small pub so called in for a pint. It was full of people with dogs and it stank of wet dogs, not nice to me.
I don't blame the pub owner or dog owners, it's just not for me.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
No wonder you rely on yer bloomers to keep you warm.

Quite right - dogs are dogs and think and react like dogs
treating them like children is not good for them

MrsP decided to blitz the kitchen, particularly the oven. I took the racks and the side supports for the racks out and oh my. I knew they hadn't been cleaned for a while, but 😳.
MrsP got some sort of rack cleaning solution which goes into a bag with the racks and then after a couple of hours all the crud comes off.
Plenty of Mr Muscle and elbow grease, two hours later the oven looks a lot better, so do the tiles on the walls and the flooring.

We have a new Bosch oven coming with the new kitchen. According to the blurb it's coated with micro ceramic spheres or some such malarkey, and has a dedicated cleaning program. I'll believe it when I see it.

Hmmm
I have never seen an oven yet with a cleaning system that works after a few roasts and a few things boiling over

I prefer ones with metal sides that I can scrub!!

Me neither, this is the blurb from ours:
"While the oven bakes or roasts, the special direct coating of microfine ceramic particles on its interior walls absorbs grease and residue and breaks them down through oxidation. After the oven has cooled down, grease and food stains have to be removed only from oven floor and inner door. The direct coating also regenerates every time you heat the oven, and continues to do so for the entire service life of the appliance. To remove substantial residues, simply activate the EcoClean Direct cleaning programme."
There's also a Pyrolytic function on some ovens which heats the oven to 480°C and turns all the grease / spatters to dust that you wipe away with a paper towel - allegedly 🤔
