So have I.
After weeks of contemplating what to splash out on, I'm going up the pub for a couple of ales, it might just pay for two.🍺🍺

When we were visiting family in London a few weeks ago Mrs Tkk and I popped in to a pub near Waterloo station. About £14 for a couple of pints. Having got over the initial shock of being offered seats when travelling by tube, having the barmaid offer to carry the two pints over to our table had me thinking about how old I must look to others 😮

Todays plans......... my Bro is visiting and is taking me, my daughter and SiL out to lunch.

Good morning all from a wet Barnet.
It's not going to improve much today.
The cats didn't really want to go out this morning.
Tony Blackbum is on the radio, and the first mug of tea is being drunk.
All the usual stuff to do today, dog walking, domestics and I'll get a session in on the turbo at some point.
I can't be bothered to cook today, so probably fish and chips from the local chippy for tea tonight.

Ah, yes. I remember this well. Two or three years ago I was travelling to Millwall to watch the mighty Rovers play in what should have been the crucial final game of the season. It wasn't!

There I was holding a strap on the underground swaying around. My lads wearing Rovers shirts. We chatted. A young man got up and offered me his seat which I accepted.

He was wearing a Millwall shirt. I felt both pleased and suddenly old. 🤣

#1SP is coming for the weekend. I'll collect her at 12.30ish. This afternoon we are going to the Bolton Octagon to see Rudolph the Reindeer's Red Nose Roadshow. There are two theatres. In the other it's Jungle Book...........I'll leave the chaotic scenes of hyper small people high on e numbers and frazzled parents to your imaginations........Granddads can be very chilled........we can hand them back 🤣🤣

Meanwhile the house is a tip. Time for morning exercises and domestics.

@Dave7 I started taking magnesium tablets three weeks ago. They're supposed to aid sleep. The last few days I feel it may work. Eight hours straight for me last night.

Workshop day today putting Bertie Bantam back together, as the final part I was waiting for was delivered yesterday.

Oh. While I remember for those fortunate to live in the northwest, that includes Lancashire. Booths, famed throughout the land, well our bit of land, are selling fabulous mince pies. Bog standard, own brand, packs of 4, £2 per pack or £3 for 2 packs. I have to restock later today, the Christmas ones have disappeared......

I blame the elves. Fantastic quality and value.
