Me Mrs p was there.what we remember was how muddy it was.As we were leaving down a very slippery slope a big bang fire work went off .Took Mrs p by surprise she slipped and finished up on her back side. Brings to mind .We we’re at the national championship at Sutton Park suddenly she had chest pains At the time she was waiting for admission to hospital to have her Gallbladder op.. she not have eaten two dinky doughnuts An ambulance was called Start of race was delayed to.because of the ambulance on the course.Carted her of to the Good Hope Hospital She has never eaten doughnuts since then

Thanks Mr Lad. I thought I'd remained pretty chilled but still got the shakes when he told me it wasn't the Big C.

It's still moderately serious, but manageable for now with a clear route forward in the event that it worsens, but it's not at all likely to end me.

Luckily being in the middle of nowhere and it being sheep farming land as well, we don't tend to get firework displays around here. We hear the occasional whizz bang and that's about it.

I used to live near Welsh sheep farming territory

They had other activities around this time of year up in the hills

there were always strange arrangements of sheep bones around the rocks if you got well away from the tourists places


and not all of them were teenagers messing around!!!
(although some were!!)

I've never heard of anything like that

Maybe depends on the area - this was Bangor - so quite close to Druid country

and when I was training to teach some of the Welsh people mentioned "activities in the hills that maybe we shouldn;t mention"

no idea what they were going on about - but I heard it mentioned several times over the years
They never invited you to take part in these activities?
