Good morning all from a misty Barnet.
Like @Mo1959 I'm looking forward to the new series of Shetland.
We have to drop Daisy off at the Vets as she is going in for an internal endoscopy examination to see what is going on .🥺
Other than that it looks like being a domestics day, the bedding needs washing, and we need a tidy up.

Good morning. I've had a poor night's sleep. For some reason I've been hot all night.

Heading out for a ride at 8.15. I've no motivation for this at all. Cycling has been in my mind since about 2.00am, I keep wondering where I'm going to find the determination to get properly fit again. It's damn hard.

Tonight the Rovers are at home. We are going but with little enthusiasm at the moment.

Typing this has made me realise that while I'm quite happy I can't be arsed to do anything. Weird or what?

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Cooooeeee. 12 deg again and dry here.

I didn't watch what was happening in the US. I can't imagine why anyone would want to live there anyway. They aren't the sharpest tools in the box for a start.

Very insular, and most of the time they don't have any idea what's happening in the next state let alone in the rest on the rest of the planet.

Thanks for the heads up about Shetland

Morning all :hello:

Had a good day on my birthday yesterday.
Mates picked us up and took us to the Crossways Inn near Burnham. It's the Somerset CAMRA pub of the year.
Had lunch and a couple of pints. Excellent faggots 'n mash and Hicks Special Draft.
Our other mates from Cheddar joined us to make the party. :okay:

The USA has a new President.
Jumping the gun a bit there?

Morning all.
We had a lovely outdoor get together last night with family and friends. I splashed out on an expensive box of "garden" fireworks. They were very colourful without the massive bangs associated with fireworks.
If I can get the energy I will nip to Aldi.
And today I go for my weekly lunchtime drink.

Oh yes, sad news that yet another neighbour has died. So, including Sue that is 3 in a short period. I am looking over my shoulder.

Remaining car finance paid off today, it was less than £1k but we want to re align our finances. 1 year ago we figured we would have £500 a week in pensions for just the two of us, no rent or mortgage to pay, quite adequate for our lifestyle.
All that's gone out the window now we have the 2 grandkids and while we are more than OK while we get fostering payments, that's only for 2 years.
Just organising the two works pension pots, not big ones so they won't be worth much at all if annuitised...decisions decisions...

I hate what I call big finance...pensions etc, I could never picture the options and what they mean And what the implications are. Very good at normal finances but the big stuff ...phhhh
