Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Luckily being in the middle of nowhere and it being sheep farming land as well, we don't tend to get firework displays around here. We hear the occasional whizz bang and that's about it.
@Dave7 you'll enjoy this one. Speaking of sleeping on concrete. When Rovers were due at Anfield on the glorious 14th of May 1995 we had 3000 tickets. Demand was known to be enormous. One per season ticket holder.
I arrived at Ewood at 8.00am the day before tickets went on sale. People were already queuing! So I joined the queue. Great atmosphere. When evening arrived the club opened the Blackburn End concourse. We all filed in the correct order. We slept under the main stand. I'd counted 300+ in front of me. We were in!!
At 8.00am the next day Mrs P arrived with my eight year old lad. He joined me in the queue.
All part of the experience.
1995......who was your manager then ?
I was taught to offer my seat to older people on buses and trains. There are a lot of people sitting down on this train who are younger than me.

All this talk of Leeds and I’ve just remembered that I went there once, in 1992 for the World Cyclo-Cross Championships. It was a fabulous day with victory to Roger Hammond in the junior race. In the pro race David Baker came 9th but the rest of the Brits were near the bottom, albeit in the illustrious company of TdF star Claudio Chiappucci.

It was won by Mike Kluge with another illustrious road name in 3rd, Adrie van der Poel.
