An interesting day with mixed (family) emotions for us.
Grandson #2 is 25 and has never married. He is a very "outdoorsy" type person and enjoys eg rough solo camping.
Anyway, tomorrow morning he sets off on a 13 week solo** tour of Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand and other places.
** it is organised by a specialist tour company but he will be on his onio.
So later on Daughter is making his favourite meal of lasagna.
I can see tears being shed.

Morning all :hello:

Chucking it down here and forecast rain all day.

Got a result on my Montesa trials bike. It's now in a usable condition and pretty tidy. I've spent a total of less than £800 including purchase and the consensus on the Montesa forum is that it's worth around £2K. Now, where can I find another one? :giggle:

Sunday lunch at the Railway Inn today.

@Dave7 it's unlikely you passed it on after a couple of weeks. The infectious period is 1-2 days before symptoms and 8-10 after. Long covid, as far as I'm aware, is not an infectious condition.

Ahhh got you.
Covid is infectious but long covid isn't. Makes sense.
However, If I was'up and about' after3-4 weeks then, in theory, it could have. been passed on??
It was weird as I felt good and was cycling n golfing again. It was maybe 3 months later when the LC symptoms hit eg loss of balance, leg muscles went plus loss of taste buds (which I am slowly regaining).

No, I don't think so. It's well established the infectious period is at most 12-14 days.

Bonjour tout le monde. Angel Bay is postponed for now as it is raining but I know Molly won't mind. I need to get our gutters cleaned out too as on two of them, we have bird nests. They don't need them now so they will have to go. Mrs G mentioned wallpapering earlier but I didn't hear that. I also have two ceiling lights to put up. Bonne journee tout le monde.

Misty but pleasant walk done out to do a loop round Loch Monzievaird.

Few pics from along the way. Not sure why there was one solo Belted Galloway calf in with the others cows. Maybe he had been orphaned and one of the cows who had lost her own calf reared him.

Few fungi popping through the grass as well.

I might, if I have the energy today bag up all the clothes in my wardrobe that are too big for me now, it should leave a pair of trousers, two t-shirts and a few ties.
Wish I could do the same but sadly I still seem to be going the other way! I’ve been eating slightly healthier but obviously still too much, plus I’ve spent nearly three weeks sitting watching too much tv between the cycling during the day and other stuff in the evenings. This is the last day of the cycling, and while I have really enjoyed it, hopefully I will start getting back out and doing something in the afternoons now.

Correctamundo. It's various types of damage done, and the body's so times unfortunate response, to the original infection. Doesn't sound like fun at all, wouldn't wish it on anyone.

As for my own health woes I'm slowly on the mend from a type of plantar faciitis, nazzie fascism of the foot, and my knackered achilles. I can manage most days now without my walking stick, perhaps resorting to it some evening to walk Bruce if it's been a long day on my feet.
