Just back from the Old Trafford Legends match Man U vs Celtic, Rooney scored off a free kick, 1-1 at full time and Celtic won on penalties, great day out, we will definitely do it again.

I managed to get the lawns cut; that was not an easy job with this COVID thing going on; it is giving me a tough time. On that subject, if you knew you were still in the contagious stage would you just go about meeting people as usual?
I am the stay away until I am clear type, same as if I have a cold or worse when I have had real proper flu, not that I could have got out then anyway.
I would stay at home as I would with a heavy cold, flu etc. I won't claim any moral high ground, generally if I'm infectious I don't want to be around people.

I think people's attitude varies very widely. My ex boss wouldn't dream of missing a day s work for a cold.........and would pass it on to the whole office.

Sadly some work places have quite strict sickness policies now and some people don’t always have the option. I know our work was getting like that. They introduced some sort of formula which meant that sick days very quickly added up to verbal then written warnings and could even end up in sacking.

It’s a real pea souper here and I’m not sure if it’s to lift all day. The warm spell is breaking down and we are back to cooler weather from tomorrow.

Off out for a wander soon.

I can imagine this is happening. I only worked for small companies who were generally quite understanding. It does seem large employers are becoming less and less tolerant of any sort of absence.

I have risen!

We had an almighty storm here overnight, heavy rain, chunder and blunder, the works.

After I was badly assaulted on duty I had time off for operations. After the 2nd op HR (Human Remains) tried to start the disciplinary process over my absence levels. Suffice to say the Fed made light work of that and the force settled with me before the tribunal date rolled around. A-holes.

Still feeling rough with Covid today, this will be my fourth day locked away from humanity and I do not enjoy solitude at all.

Some questions.
1) I thought you said you had a night nurse, if so you are not alone.
2) how do I apply for one?
3) can I get one on the NHS?

Not fussed on hair colour, so long as she has some.
Figure!!! Do I get any choices?

Good day to you all. It's grey, damp and drizzly, you know the sort that makes one really wet! 😲
I think we should bust this myth. ALL rain makes one really wet. It's a question of how quickly and whether or not one is daft enough to stand out in it. 🤣 Me? I'm not daft, I'll stay indoors.

That's that sorted then. Today #1 son has invited the family to lunch for Mrs P's birthday. I'm both looking forward to and dreading this. If the inevitable how are you question comes up???? I feel it will be a good day.

I should say things are going well. We are not sad, we laugh every day and do whatever. I've noticed Mrs P doing a few things she feels need sorting while she can. Like yesterday's request for a nice picture with her granddaughters while she still has her hair. That's understandable and I say nothing. Don't misunderstand me here. Things are good.

Now. I have the dishwasher to unload, washing to tumble dry, ironing etc. First though I need to do my stretching, physio and exercise bike. This rehab business takes a lot of effort.

I would just hate to think that I had made another person ill, I do know sometimes it cannot be avoided.

When I got covid (5?) years ago we thought it was flu (my Doc told me she wasn't convinced long covid actually existed) ....... So when I felt better after several weeks I went back to socialising. It was many months later that the hospital decided it was actually long covid. So, no idea if, sadly, I passed it on to others (I know I passed it onto Sue).
