I used to have an auntie that gave me a threepenny bit when I went for some shopping for her. I remember often buying a bar of Caramac with it.

Vaguely, but I think they were on the way out when I first remember them. Just googling, I think I must be mistaken as I would only have been 2. Maybe thinking of the halfpenny.

I think they were reissued several years ago, along with " Old Jamaica " etc. I tried the Caramac and it was crap, overly sweet 😮

Ceased to be legal tender on the 1st January 1961. Unless you lived in the Falkland Islands, Falkland Island Dependcy or British Antarctic Territories.

I really liked Cabana bars. Wouldn’t mind them coming back.

I presume not every plane has a tracker switched on? Can hear a light plane overhead just now but nothing showing up.

They should have, and be transmitting. Maybe no-one has picked it up yet and started plotting its course.
