Salut. My car should be ready today but waiting for a phone call to confirm it.
I am also waiting for a delivery from Amazon so my plan to go for a ride this afternoon is unlikely to happen now and Mrs G wants to do more decorating tomorrow as well. 🤔

Afternoon all, weather quite pleasant here. Have been out for a little ride on my mtb, just a loop through the Pentlands.
The only pre-decimal coinage I remember is the thrupenny bit. I never knew what half a crown was (and still don’t !). I remember the old shillings but only because they continued to be used as 10p pieces.

Good afternoon all from a hot and sunny Corfu.
We got the water taxi across to Corfu town this morning, a very pleasant 25 minute trip.
The temperature is now a hot 35⁰c, I've just walked straight into the hotel swimming pool to cool down.
Tonight we are being picked up at the jetty and ferried to a taverna a couple of bays along and ferried back when we are finished.
This is the life we have worked for, for so long.😁
