Mrs D rushed to hospital again this evening. She never recovered properly from the pneumonia, and it seems she has a very bad infection still. The doc was concerned about septicemia if not addressed speedily so they're keeping her in on IV antibiotics, and kicked me out before I explode with rage (long story but im not interested in their petty inter departmental squabbles when my wife is in a lot of pain). I arrived home to a txt message rrom Mrs D telling me how the next patients family werent quite as stoic as me and kicked off.

Only saving grace is hossy is less than two miles away now we've moved.
Hope there's good news soon.

Best wishes to Mrs Drago - hope she gets home soon!

in other news - just remembered some photos I took yesterday on my ride - bags of rubbish dumped by the railway lines and long a walk nearby - probably the same people from the look of the bags

reported to the counsel on their website
I will go back ina few days and see if they have gone - they are normally quite good
and with election coming up it is a good opportunity to get them to do something if standards have slipped!

Exhausted. Heading for a sofa snooze with my boy Bruce.

There’s still no let up in the rain but at least I have had a reprieve this morning on jury service. I was told yesterday that I had been selected for a 5 day trial starting at 10 this morning. I duly turned up, was lined up with my fellow jurors and led into the courtroom. The court as all assembled ready and waiting for the entry of the judge when it was announced that a technical issue had arisen and hence a delay. We were led back out into the waiting room where a 10 minute delay was extended and extended until eventually, just after 12 they told us that they couldn’t start the trial at all and that we were dismissed, our service at an end for this time. So I’m now back at home ready and waiting for this day’s stage of the Basque Country, at least what’s left of it after yesterday’s horrendous crash.
