Local weather station is saying minus 7 this morning. Certainly felt like it when I opened the window just now and popped my head out.

Can't sleep which is unusual for me.

Made myself a cup of tea and when finished I will be off back to bed for a Kindle session. I have a really good book on the go.

Bone dry outside - snow panic over for now.

I, well, my bladder, decided that I needed to get up.

Mrs D can't drive in that so she's working from home today. Being blind in one eye she has only minimal depth perception, and with everything white she has no visual cues so she's doing the sensible thing.

I drive home at around midnight, the roads were extremely slippery and totally white, heavy snow made it difficult to see far. Looking from my bedroom window I am guessing the snow is a couple of inches thick across the fields.

Good morning. It is white outside. Not arctic but more than enough to build a snow person.

I rolled over in bed last night........and fell out. This woke me up, and Mrs P. At 3.30 #1 sp began to cry. I settled her but by then I was wide awake. I managed to grab a couple of rather stiff hours on the sofa. I can hear her mooching about upstairs. It's time I stopped playing dead and joined in.

When I'm nackered I think do I want to do this? I'm nackered this morning. Then I remember what she said to me last night:

"Granddad, will you cuddle me till I go to sleep." Love and trust. What more could I want?

This is the first real snow Bruce has seen.

I opened the front door, he put one paw out, then went running back into the house. So much for Labradors being hardy outdoor dogs.

Cooooeee. 1 deg here and we have snow. I didn't think we would have Any as we had so much rain last night. Its doggy as well.
