Been out for a ride, very cold but saw a bit of sun at times. Snow on the hills looking north. Lots of water on the roads and tidelines of flooding debris. Caught nice glimpses of linnets and tree sparrows.

£25 from Ernie this month. First time I've waited for an email instead of using the app. Took a trip to Wimborne and the Burly Baker, fortunately there were still a few Cinnamon Swirls left. As the assistant was serving me the Baker was at the rear splitting logs and chucking pieces of wood into the oven. It must have been some decent timber as his chopper was wedged in one piece and he was repeatedly bashing it onto the floor ( no tittering at the back )

Barnet,
The rain has started here again, and it's quite heavy.
I've just had the reminder for my eyesight test tomorrow morning. It'll be the first one for a few years. I don't think anything has changed but it's best to make sure.
I've also made a dental appointment for a checkup in a couple of weeks time.

Saw - or at least started watching before I gave up and went to bed at 11:30 - a programme on the telly last night
The one where a bunch of celebrities meet up and walk along a pilgrimage route

this one was in North Wales - as I used to live there I was interested as I have never heard of the North Wales Pilgrims way - but apparently it exists, although I am not sure if it isa modern thing or something older
Starts near Flint Castle - not actually near Flint - nearer Greenway famously the site of the Speed Camera that used to catch more cars than any other in the UK at one time!
anyway - it winds its way aorund via a load of old churches - mostly inland at the start rather than the wel trodden coast route - and takes a diversion off to Bangot - where I lived for a while - and then South before going West to the coast and then down the North coast of the Llyn and then to Bardsey Island

Must catch up with it later as I was too tired after having the grand-kids all day

Anyway - looks wet out but if it dries up I would like to go out for a ride to loosen up my head - lots of things happening lately and I need something to de-stress!
It's not ten years old yet, give it a chance.

Storm Kathleen is due to reach the UK with winds of 60 to 70 MPH on Saturday apparently. We will see.

Wouldn't be so bad a piece if they got the place names correct!
"The Met Office warned there is a chance homes and businesses in Glasgow and Sterling could flood because of the heavy rain."

I'm almost certain it's Glasgow and Stirling, with Sterling being more used in a currency mode.
