Uefa has fined the Football Association and the Football Association of Ireland after the national anthems were booed before the Republic of Ireland played England in the Nations League in September.

European football's governing body imposed a £10,500 fine (12,500 euros) on the Football Association (FA) following England fans' booing of Amhran na bhFiann at Aviva Stadium.

What a load of codswallop. It's sport, it's gladiatorial, it's passionate.

It is, but you are still supposed to respect your opponents. Which includes respecting their anthem in international matches.

A good day for the blue and gold bit of Hampshire- Pompey win 3-1, first home win (!), off the bottom of the table, Colby Bishop back after his health issues and on the scoresheet, and the other lot lost. Hopefully, onwards and upwards from here.

In other news: Man City beaten again. Four in a row…it probably won't last. Not exactly a crisis, still second.

I say Slot has slotted in very well at Liverpool. It is a long time since i watched a whole game.I like Liverpool, but not sure about Darwin Nunez or NunezDarwin whatever his shirt says. How he missed that one on one,yet Mo scored a harder one.Lovely game and two great saves from the back yup Keeper.

Yep, Nunez is a real crowd pleaser (I enjoy watching him) but his finishing is very hit and miss.
Salah will be difficult/impossible to replace.

I am still thinking of how well Liverpool played yesterday, how fast they were.Mo is amazing.Liverpool are my second team,it goes way back to Bill Shankly and Revie, his down to earth working class attitude to the game. The boot room brought further trophies Bob Paisley being a genius ,a quiet man with today's razzamatazz.I wonder what both would think of football today.
