Interesting!🤔 Do you know by any chance why Fleetwood Town's match has been called off this coming Saturday? 🤔
Lee Carsley has asked for the game to be postponed because a lot of the Fleetwood Town players are expected to be on stand by for the England game

Has anyone else watched the David Coote video? I'm keeping an open mind. It seems to me technology can be used to manipulate many things.

Either that or the man is unbelievably stupid. Who on earth did he think he was speaking to or how the interview might be used?

It does seem to be genuine but we have to wait for the result.
I personally hope it's genuine as he is unbelievably biased in his decisions.

When we watched the Euros this summer my wife and I commented more than once about Harry Kane. Most of his match contribution was to stand around waiting for the ball to be passed to him.

We would contrast this with Ollie Watkins who seemed to be a bundle of energy, enthusiasm and, a threat to the opposition, something Kane wasn't.

Delighted to see Carsley's brave decision to drop Kane in favour of Watkins has paid off.

I do agree with you on the Euros but even Kane said he wasn't fit. That was an error on Southgates part.

Comparing the two is like comparing apples and oranges.

Kane has never been the quickest but he is strong and always seems to be in the right place to score.

I always remember when we used to play Tottenham and Kane was playing and i have to put my hand up and say watching him in the flesh he was a brilliant player.

Watkins is quick and gets into good positions like a good forward should.Personally i would play Watkins from the start and have Kane on the bench.

I agree there isn't a comparison in style. My choice based only on what I've seen recently, the Euros, would be Watkins ahead of Kane. I'm sure he was a brilliant player. My Rovers have been in the wilderness for a long time, I've never seen him play other than the odd TV game.

My umble opinion is Watkins needs a long run,i think Kane plays far too deep getting in the way of the midfield,Watkins pulls defenders about more.Anyway we are not the Manager.I wish him luck.Southgates teams bored me to death,i always cheered for the opposition,i even cheered for Spain, much to the surprise of our church Minister.I want this guy to bring flair fast flowing forward movement football.None of this back back sideways back to the keeper from a corner crap.Best of luck Thomas i will be cheering you on.

True, but remember Scotland are in league A, Wales are in League B (And will be in playoffs for League A/B if they beat Iceland tonight), so league C still isn't exactly among the big boys.

I see the upstarts who have just been promoted from league B to join the big boys (Scotland etc..) in league A are already making bold claims about World Cup 2026. How many "years of hurt" now? 60? Do they NEVER learn?:laugh:
