Doris wasn’t that keen on the ‘meshing’, till she realised that the wheel tracks (RSJ) was walkable

The 'Quaker School' (my daughter went there)
The 'plague stone'
The quarries that abounded in the area
John Gully; bare knuckle boxer & MP lived there, a John Prescott of the early 1800s?
(my daughter went to school with the daughter of one of the families living there, house is split into 3 nowadays)
Luke Howard (he was the person who named all the clouds) lived there, & his daughter endowed a local School (still open)
