S9 went well. Back in the top 20 and 1st of all the riders with 9 stages done rather than 10.
Flying under the radar as they say.
I am sticking to my 1 stage 1 atempt routine as last year.
My time is definitely coming to an end though. Not sure if its my heart or my age, or both perhaps!
I may have to go out and buy some corduroys soon and some slippers.

Buck the trend and take up golf... Then again, perhaps paint drying spectating may be preferable?

Come and play in a bigger pond, there is always someone slower

Quack! Great move @BILL S , we blinked and you were gone, never to be caught. Great strength to make it stick, I'll settle for second out of the three musketeers!

Thought id try something different this time, and I was feeling more energetic than last week. it worked well, but you were pulling me in fast as we approached the line. One thing is for sure and that is its never easy to tell which of us will beat the other two. Ideal situation actually

Great long sprint @BILL S ! Exactly the right time where the brain just says ”that’s it, we’re done here. You’re not gonna catch him.” . I think maybe @keithaitch hoped we could cooperate to bring you back, but no, I was mentally not still in the race. But a good one it was!

Yes I did hope we could bring him back, but by the time I realized we weren't going to it was too late and I just had to give it my all. This month's league looks like it could come then to seconds. I might have to take it easy on one of my Wednesday night training rides! My training partner will be surprised, and happy!

Been wiped out with flu but starting to recover now... not been on the bike for ten days.. chest is good.. just gotta purge the water infection and I’ll be spinning again this weekend hopefully... Had an Audax lined up for week Sunday, but doubtful I’ll have the stamina for that.. or inclination... but let’s see. Weather is starting to improve up here after frost-snow-frost.. just rain forecast now... can’t wait to get outside again.. it’s been a long dark winter...

...just makes me hungry for summer miles... :sun:

Randy, I'm in Somerset Saturday working and won't be back for the rerun. Set me a good time to chase down thanks!
I'm working out of town again this week so only got in one ride on Tuesday. I've been very slow getting back into any kind of shape. I plan on riding a lot more from now on.... I say this every day.....
But yes I'll try to do a good ride this week. Last week turned into a slog just to get through.

Edit: just out of curiosity and to kill time waiting on a plane I googled Somerset weather. Bad timing on your part.
