So anyone interested in doing the Alp d'Huez handicap, you will need to make sure you get a time in for it, within the next week.

We do a lot of 5 and 10km running races here, with this format. It makes for some good action in the latter stages. And the best bit is, we all get to the pub at the same time.

Hi Guys, sorry long time no post... since the update anyone noticed there FTP suddenly going a lot higher? i was only at 220 normally.. seem to be able to hit 270 over 50 mins and 500m of climbing?

My garmin was spiking alot that i noticed on sunday so im not sure if thats fixed it and the reason it was always blue was because my sensor was spiking? seems to be always white now on the speed?

It doesnt feel any easier and i am avg 152 HR max 170

I have a suggestion Adam. Wouldn't it be best if we went by bkool fitness? 1min per level. So as it stands you get a 2 min head start on me. That'll save everyone having to put in a latest time. That way very easy to work out when everyone starts.

work got in the way of the planned easy ride tonight, BT circuits going wrong, directors asking the poor IT Manager (me) when it's going to be fixed. All sorted now but didn't get home until 8pm.

I'm up for the d'Huez ride, only ridden it once at the beginning of Feb.

I have tried to find the d'Huez ride via the search function but cannot seem to find it. Please can someone post a link so I can see if it is remotely doable by yours truly.

If you look in the Goats League you can challenge someone from there, it was the first week. Or add it to your favourites from the league and enter it that way.
It's very do able at a sensible pace, it's just that some of us have a disproportionately large competitive gene.

We could try that first if you like, and use the times we get on that to set up the proper handicap times.

At least everyone would have a base time to calculate from. It would certainly be interesting to see how that panned out. There is more likely to be a bigger discrepancy using that method mind you. Kipster is only an Active 2 but we know he is quicker than that, and then there is the anomoly that has you at Active 10.... no idea who you backhanded to get that ridiculous accolade! :secret:

Doesn't work for me I'm afraid cause I'm amateur 4 currently but the added cheat of elite trainer!

So, third consecutive night on the turbo... and a 20km route from Honister... I cant get over how realistic and imersive the Bkool is... tonight, bombing down Honister into Buttermere, I was leaning into the curves, tried to swerve to miss a car, felt a humpback bridge in the pit of my stomach and slammed on my anchors to stop me plowing into a wall.. !!! not sure if that says more about me or the trainer lol

Have you got yours set up on some sort of big spring? Sounds more like a rodeo bull.

But yes it is, as you say very immersive. I prefer my BKool now to going outside. I think this bloody machine is giving me agoraphobia.
