Incidentally, I think one evening we should do a handicap race up Huez. The slowest set off first, and then based on your fastest time, you set off the difference in minutes behind the first guy. Theoretically you all reach the top at the same sort of time, but makes for a hell of a sprint finish. Gives the slower guys a shot at glory.
I am happy to work out what time everyone can start. And the last guy.... Elite Adam or Bill, just keeps an eye out for eager starters. I'm happy to organise it if everyone likes the idea?

Of course Bill and Elite Add, will need to bring a flask and a newspaper, as they will be on the start line a while. I would make it a closed session, to avoid errant stragglers screwing it up, so it wouldn't be a league event, just something to brighten up a weekday evening.

Love it!! It'll kill me trying and failing to catch up but I can't resist the challenge.

Oh Cr4p!!! Darryn just kicked our asses up Bonette :sad::sad::notworthy:
Darn it, I hope he at least feels as beat as I did when I got to the top! Haven't looked at his run yet, at work, and phone is painfully slow! Will analyse and scrutinise his attempt later, see if I can find substantial grounds for a time penalty.

Well done Darryn!

Well I started up the trainer to see if it would update as is hasn't since I had it as far as I know, it was stated in here that the later Classic's update via USB+Ant like the Pro but wasn't sure.
So I powered up and nothing....nothing to say there was an update or that it had updated anything, this is the screen shot of what I have, I tried manual pair as well and got the same info.

Clearly youre the man to ask... im crap at computer hardware side of things, we have an imac at home and i have a cheap toshiba notebook for fitness and travel use.

With my pending new build pain cave coming up when we move ooop north, what would you recommend to use soley for bkool, TR, Zwift aka man cave use. i have monitors, TVs etc so i was thinking about a desktop unit?

Definitely a desktop Windows 7 computer would be best, with a reasonable discrete graphics card (i.e. not the Intel integrated graphics but an AMD or Nvidia) for the 3D graphics. You can drive a Full HD TV via HDMI, or if the budget allows streatch to a 4K TV.

You might get away with a laptop if it has a decent mobile graphics card (again not Intel integrated), if you need to use it for other things.

My spec is a several years old, apart from the graphics card

Intel Core i5-750 2.67 Ghz
4GB DDR3 memory
Nvidia GeForce GTX 760
Any old Sata Hard drive
Windows 7 SP1

AV600 powerline adapters for wired Internet connection

Monday night's good for me too ...

Rest Wednesday, Thursday League, Easy Friday ride, Saturday re-run, Sunday outside ride, Monday ... what am I going to do with myself?

Wait, we've got to fit Elite Adam's interval training in ... oh and some work, I guess.
