Traditional British snow ie half a centimetre of slush.

Ice tyres completely superfluous but might be useful on the way home.

I did the same re the ice tyres. Didn't need them this morning, expected to need them tonight, but it warmed up to 2°c and weren't needed. Still at least you warm up quite quickly when using them :laugh:

I think Ice Tyres affect local weather patterns: fitting them causes an instant increase in temperature. Conversely, if you remove them after a month of sunshine, tempests, hail snow and ice will befall within 24 hours.

It's a similar but more extreme version of "Washing your bike syndrome".
