Relieved that this morning's ride was infinitely nicer than the torrential, sub-zero apocalypse prophesied a few days ago.
Out in the now-usual double-base layer, double-bagged feet and thin gloves. A nice, clear, crisp morning of tolerable temperature, low-lying mist and a bit of sun.
Nothing significant to report; other than being thankful for the mild weather and really glad to get out on the bike with the usual casual interactions with nice folk after another weekend dominated by dark isolation. Radiohead's Kid A provided an appropriately evocative and dystopian sountrack to my very British route in, and I had a big smile on my face by the time I rolled into the city to the sound of

Sadly it appears that this sentiment can't be applied to the ride home; which currently remains slated to be very damp.. better to get soaked on the way home I suppose..
