Ours is a dehydrated 'amber' colour, apparently.

Forecast looks like the worse will happen after my commute to a hotel, and possibly clear by the time I come home on Friday evening. Ice wheels fitted anyway.

Amber is a higher warning level than Yellow. Only issued when there is significant chance of impact for many people, such bas road closures, power cuts etc.

Chucked it down the entire way to work. Had to tip water out of my shoes into the sink.

I have concluded that PlanetX Das Boot winter boots are not as effective at keeping water out, in very heavy rain and puddled roads, as regular cycling shoes with tall overshoes. Socks wrung out and stuck on a radiator, insoles likewise, boots filled with waste paper & will be on the radiator shortly once the gloves have dried out!

Still better than being stuck in heavy traffic, drivers who overtook me twice I overtook three times & had the pleasure of a bit of exercise and no frustration with blocked country lanes.

Dry feet. Shimano MW7's for the win. So good I have two pairs and some RW5's

Wet on the way in (cold to boot), wet on the way home. Wet right now- I was going to go and buy cat food, maybe tomorrow.

Was forecast to be very wet, possibly snow and very windy today. Well it was very wet both ways, nice tailwind into work, bonus it had died down for the way home, double bonus, absolutely no sign of the snow. Had to give the chain a quick wipe when I got home, might have to clean the bike soon.

Had to give the chain a quick wipe when I got home,
I neglected to do that on Tuesday night rushing to set up for a turbore workout  Prepping my bike tonight for tomorrow's commute I had to wipe off ugly surface rust. It'll hopefully be dry enough at the weekend for proper degrease and re wax lube. The ugly surface rust would never of happened with wet lube but wax lube is just so much cleaner.
