Not as fun today along the guided busway and Loop line, both routes were like glass 😡

The forecast said -6 with windchill on top for my ride home, i reckon it was a lot colder and i have seen a post by a mate saying - 8 this morning .
The freehub was sticky for the first half then the rear brake seized and finally the garmin died

Definitely cold, the only exposed skin on my body was burning on the way in (my FACE cheeks 
)
Had a couple of instanced of rear wheel slip, and some two wheel drifting going round a corner, but all controllable with spikes.
Do not ride if you don't have these tyres, or stick to well gritted roads, it's not worth a broken pelvis.

it was interesting to say the least last night, i did stick to main roads and when a lorry went past ( you would be surprised how many you see in the middle of the night ) i was covered in a storm of grit .
Minus 5 when I left this morning. This very cold weather is starting to drag a bit now. Tomorrow is looking like the same but thankfully warming up at the weekend.
I do have the right footwear and clothing so I'm not cold on the ride. I'm a loving lots of heat type a guy, so this cold is getting me down.
Luckily as I mentioned before. We've had no snow or wet weather for a while so the roads are very dry with all the main roads gritted.

should be alright for the weekend , forecast is 12 c uhm and 50 mph winds !
We've got highs of 15° forecast for next week with rain.
I can live with that. The winds are forecast high 40's at times but once again I can live with that. In London its very rare that wind stops cycling.

TBH I prefer the cold over driving rain.
Bitter last night and definitely woke me up on the ride in. Roads all fine, but some very hard ice by a few drain covers. Keep a wide line!

You can keep your rain, done nothing but rain for 6 months up here.
its all them there building in the way
Some buildings can be a pain in high winds. Pass a tall one and you can get blown sideways easy from the wind vortex they cause. Has happened to me a few times over the years.
