A van passed me chucking out clouds of smoke this morning, I had to hold my breath and pull my buff up over my nose and mouth. Thankfully the driver pulled into a side street and turned the engine off, not before massive plumes of white smoke had engulfed the area. Head gasket failure big time!

Another late night coming home due to breakdowns , it was again around 1.45 am before i set off .
A good frost so everyone else was scraping the cars , luckily for me i had took extra layers as i knew the forecast so it was just my feet that got cold even with overshoes , my hands although chilly didnt suffer as badly as usual which i can only put down to finding some meds that help my reynuads .
Looks like it will be the same the rest of the week

Cycling along and an SUV drove past me then pulled up at the side of the road just ahead of me and stopped on the yellow zig zags outside a school entrance so she could conveniently drop her wee blessing off.

I had one close pass me on a speed bump this morning so they could slam on their brakes in the queue 50m ahead. A normal car would have been unable to.

Last commute of the year for me. As I've done a few times I've substituted the commute for the planned Endurance/recovery ride in my training plan. Although given there’s been a lot of flooding so I stuck to main roads and drifted out of the Endurance HR zone a few times. I averaged roughly where I wanted to be 59% Max HR but I drifted up to 75% max HR. Probably up the fast and busy main road into Knebworth. Lol, thats as about exciting as the commute got 🙃

I'm still at it. Surprisingly mild if a little damp. No fellow commuters today,as we approach London I expect more to appear

Bloody warm today ! Dragged the fixie out after it had been off the road for some light fettling.
Forgotten how nice it is to ride.
Extended the route home through Worsley woods and down the Bridgewater canal

Last commuting day for me - uneventful ride this morning, damp under wheel but not raining. Full lights in the heavy overcast, although the street lamps were off. Nice to be on the bike.

Two commutes today: I have a split shift so I will be going back to my apartment in an hour and return at 5pm and go back at seven. With everything added up my commute will take nearly twenty minutes.

Life can be so very hard.

First commute in nearly a month due to a combination of leave and illness. Rather unsurprisingly it rained on the way in, although it was much lighter than forecast. To make up for this it then rained on the way home when it was supposed to have been dry.

Hay and straw delivery today, 80 bales unloaded before a nice extended commute through Worsley woods

Nice to see a few distant rays breaking through the murky skies this morning, although it was generally rather grey.
