England : London Sunday London ride

well, I went up to HPC and saw enough ice on the way up to get thoroughly spooked, so, having spread a bit of gloom, I came home again. Streatham Hill is just terrifying - we're just a bit off the beaten track and there's no chance of any gritters making it up our street

I went up streatham hill this morning and down brixton hill. absolutely fine. I didn't however go down or look down any side roads.

Great ride today, good to be back on the ride. Certainly chilly and i clocked up about 50miles

woke up at 8 am, pulled the curtain, saw a swan and few coots walking on ice, decided not to ride and went to a spinning class instead..

Drove past a peleton of brave souls in the chilterns this morning, gutted I couldn't be out too (but quite appreciating my heated seat!)!

Apart from being absolutely freezing it was a lovely day for a ride.
I've just about regained feeling in my fingers and toes, but once the blood got flowing it wasn't too bad.

Got my bike out the shed and had a guilty moment. It was far more filthy than I remeber, so Pledge wet wipes came out for a quick wipe down to get rid of the worst.
Found my track pump had frozen so that had to go on the radiator for 10 mins to thaw out.

Got to HPC before Mice arrived on her Ice, which is a lovely machine. Simon arrived (in shorts) a few minutes later before heading home, and then the Bromley massive turned up.

Good to meet Gaz and Mikey for the first time. Hopefully we'll see you more in the coming weeks.

Quick half lap of Hyde Park to use the facilities on the other side, then out to Look Mum's for a coffee and a slice of cake

Clive lead us to the ferry, at a pace which suggested he was worried about missing the 12 oclock one and with it his only chance of getting some lunch when he got home

We made it with minutes to spare.

Clive's stomach lead the Bromley lot back home.

TC, Mice and I made our way to Greenwich park for yet another coffee and a fight with the local pigeons and squirrels who were after Mice's cake, before heading home.

Ok, so that was cold, no that was baltic !, 4 layers and I was still bloody freezing. I checked my car at 6.30am and it said -5, this made me question going out on the bike. When I left the cold was so harsh I had to stop to rub the life back into my fore head and then felt very sick all of a sudden. I didn't clear my sick feeling until the wonderful cake and tea was consumed at Look Mum No Hands.


Good to see the Sunday gang with Gaz back out, had a go on Mice's trike which was fantastic and by the time we reached the Woolwich ferry the ride was over too quickly. Despite the cold that was a great ride and I made it home with time to spare and had a fantastic Sunday lunch

very cold today but a very good mornings ride, Gaz and Bentmikey joined us for a lap
around hyde park then Mikey left for work and we all headed off for coffee then went for
ferry ride

feeling very tired today after yesterdays' run to southend with Mice


i was in need of more coffee so Luke and Mice joined me at greenwich where we was attacked by
hungry birds
