Who says, I won't be the last rider!
'cos Mrs Scoosh is riding and your commute is longer than hers

Oh-oh just remembered - she's not taking the bus back to Glesga; we only live 4 corners round from Viccy Pk

So. is someone going to propose a suitable drinking venue or are we just going to descend on the Leith waterfront as and when we complete, look for suitably tired cyclists and their bikes and join in the post ride drink.

I think the venue might depend on the weather !

You are not suggesting that it might rain ! I thought we must be in for an Indian summer after the recent deluges.

I was beginning to think that Cruz might be the only pub to still be open come September since it's floating anyway

I thought that perhaps somewhere like the Waterfront (or whatever it's called now) might be good if the weather's nice - we can sit around out the back and have our bikes there with us. Or one of those places in Commercial Quay with outside seating (I think one's called the Sports Bar ?)

Failing that we just go along the Shore as there are plenty of pubs with outdoor drinking spots, and bikes / cyclists will be easy to spot along the length of the street as you approach.

Rain! RAIN!

Magnatom didn't say anything about rain in his first 'Pedal for Scotland' post! I've been 'ad!:ohmy:

Oh  he didn't tell you about last year!

Last years PFS was the wettest I've ever been on a bike. You couldn't have been wetter if you'd jumped in a swimming pool!

Dayvo, your steed should be in Glasgow by next week!
... which gives it 3 weeks to wait for the event on 15 September ??? ;)

Will it be safe and secure, tucked up in a warm, dry garage ???

You've reminded me scoosh I'd better get those pedals on it this weekend. I'm confident Magnatom will provide adequate security, even if it means posting one of his kids on sentry duty all night. If the worst happens and it goes missing, we could chip in and get Dayvo one of these . Dayvo can you manage under the 12 stone upper limit in time for the ride?

What are you doing on the 15th scoosh? You'll find the ride From Glasgow to Edinburgh will be quiet (i.e. few bikes, though lots of cars probably!)

It will be squeezed into my shed along side my bike, various garden tools, a lawnmower, garden chairs, garden table, childrens play tent, lots of plant pots, some bike tools, various pieces of stuff that I have no idea of what it is, or how it got there...... etc.

It's either a big shed, or I'm very efficient at packing it, or it's the sort of shed that when I walk in to collect the bike each morning I often hear something breaking under my feet. You decide...

(I'll tidy it up, I promise! ;))

over 4,000 is few ??
I know a bit about it - I did it last year, in the rain, rain and more rain xx( Sadly, I'm hors de combat at present - still recovering from a wrist op back in June, so can only do sit up turbo sessions when it doesn't rain (turbo lives in my shed, so needs to be dragged out for action. Our sheds have close similarities. Could they be related ??? ;) )

Mrs and master scoosh are doing PfS though and we only live 3 mins ride from the finish. Hope Intend to see many of you at the finish
