As tomorrow's racing is on the International circuit layout at Silverstone, I've stuck a bike in the boot of the car to help get around. Food has been prepped and a bottle of squash made. I don't need to leave here until around 09:00, but even that can be a bit of a struggle these days so an earlyish night is in prospect.
It's probably about time for a hot chocolate.

A grey but very warm day and blustery here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, but had a very odd dream about my archive. For some weird reason there was railway stuff in there too. Had a choresy morning, but didn't have too much to do. Sometimes it's nice to take the foot off the gas.

Had a lovely luncheon of wholemeal toast, the last of the marinated anchovies, camembert cheese and sliced avocado, plus some extra fruit and a nice :cuppa:

After, took myself off for a nice bicycular bimble in the company of Maximillian the MTB. The breeze made things a bit huffy-puffy at times, but I went all the way to the fishing lakes at Oxlode and really enjoyed being out and about.

A quick turnaround, and then off to Tesco on the hunt for some more of that cheese that was on a really good offer the other night, but it was back at full price. Boo, hiss! Didn't come home empty-handed as picked up a tub of coleslaw, some chocolate and some fast action dry yeast on YS.

Had the last of the cullen skink for supper, followed by the last of the liver stroganoff, the last of the roasted veggies and a cheese-stuffed jacket potato*.

Now sat catching up on today's happenings at Crufts.

* done in the microwave, then hollowed out, and the insides mashed with cheese, butter, pepper and garlic granules, then the mixture shoved back into the tattie, and finished off in the oven.

In Murrica we call those loaded potatoes, and it has gotten out of hand.

Too much stuffing and not enough potato?

Ah but, if those "windows" suddenly put the 'new' price over £45k - I'm paying £600 for the next three years. £190 after.

In The States, a finished European mini van cannot come into the country without an excise tax at port of entry, so they ship them in stripped and add an interior on the dock. Ford Transits and those Peugeots Stellanticus brings in. A holdover from the "Chicken Wars" of the 1970's
