Today's 73 plate truck has 315029 kilometres on the odometer and has taken me, so far, to Tamworth.
Next stop is Salubrious Sinfin to pick up 26 pallets of cut flowers 💐

I think my trusty laptop is unwell. The fan isn't working and it's throwing up warning messages every time it reboots. I wonder how device-specific fans are because Dell say the fan is no longer available.

That's a bu99er! It's not something that you come across every day. You need to contact someone who works on them who might have more knowledge of those parts. I assume that Dell would have bought them in so whether there is a similar fan out there which would fit but one which Dell do not use is the question.

Yes, I think I need to have a word with Revive My Device. They're good but they're shut over the weekend.

Remove it, clean the dust out of it and the slightest spray of WD-40 into it and see how it works.

Or find someone selling a scrap laptop of the same type on eBay.

A nice morning for my perambulation but it looks like it could rain later.

Waiting on my Saturday morning fry and wondering which plate it will be today.

We have a shouty, angry customer because he had to sit a few minutes before someone could come and take his order. What is the matter with these people? 😔

I'm not at all confident about dealing with the innards of tech things. I have been known to open things up and then, in a panic, put everything back with nothing mended.

Much fun yesterday: Middle Manager turned up. He's a good manager but occasionally has daft ideas, an yesterday was one of those days.

We have some big shelves designed for pallets. I'm not sure why as we don't use them for pallets but bike parts. Middle Manager decides that we should take the ten or so boxed new bikes from the shelf made for them elsewhere in the building, and park them under lower shelf.
We point out that this will make the bike shelf too high to use comfortably.
Manager tells us to use a step.
Spend a morning raising the shelf and replacing bike parts on shelf. Now we have a shelf that is too high to reach.
Move bikes underneath. Shelf is 1m deep. Bike boxes are at least 1m 20 long. They are not permitted to stick out from under the shelves so we turn them parallel to the wall.
This way three bikes fit, the rest are left on the old shelves.
So ne we have bikes spread around the building, and an inaccesible shelf full of parts.
We are waiting to see how long it takes Area Manager to realise this was a bad idea.

Sunny and warmish. Washing out and the ebike made its 2025 debut at set of town centre bike stands.
Have to conclude M&S have also annoyingly installed blue lights over their bananas etc as what came out of the rucksack when I got home was far greener than what they looked like in store.
Also got the missing advantage points and 70p back on the cold compress from Boots. Definite need to use it still.
