Spent a hour or so hunting for the cat in the heat of the day as no one had seen it all day ,of course i couldnt find it .
The cat normally sleeps in mini ck2 bedroom or on the landing and although it wanders off it does make appearances for food etc and with the heat it seemed odd we hadnt seen it .
The fluff monster then wanders in around 8 pm without a care in the world .

First, and only, load of washing has finished washing..
MrsPete has hung it out on the whirlygig to dry.
I'm excused pegs as I am: quote 'bloody useless' unquote.

A friend of ours always hangs her washing out but only ever uses one section of her 4 sided whirly gig no matter how much she hangs out it's always just on the one section.....

The annual round of fun with car insurance starts again - I've just had the renewal quote in and it's gone up from about £275 last year to £340 this year. The various comparison sites have yet to send me their usual offers, so I'll be hitting them on Wednesday to see what can be done.

By my standards that is pretty cheap. Mine was around £1000 and not possible to change as when I give my date of birth they all decline to quote. I do have a clean record and umpteen years no claims so it is purely age related.
I also live in a low risk area.

Cycle to the Royal Derby Hospital for my blood test @ 10.30am, remove the battery and attach the cycle to something solid.

beats trying to park there , i know its so bad that when i take mini ck1 for a test i normally drop off her and mrs ck and come back where i park in the supermarket on the other side of the roundabout

We found that the insurance for our cars was cheaper if we remained with our existing companies rather than switching to other companies.

Looks like a dry day in prospect but not particularly sunny.
I plan a trike run up a forestry road I have not been on for years but clothing prediction is a problem. Shorts may not be warm enough at the higher levels. Even climbing does not mean it gets too warm for longs.

There has been an upsurge in shoplifting in the local shops and many report losses. We used to have a system where the first shop to notice phoned another and the message got passed on from shop to shop. There were organised gangs of shoplifters who moved along the street and one lot I remember left our shop in a temper because i lurked at the back all the time they were in and they could get no peace to purloin anything. Bus parties were also bad for this.
There must be a few people getting fed up with the touroid invasion as there are 4 house for sale signs up within a few hundred yards of where I live. One of them I rather fancy but could not afford the move financially or physically.

I was tempted but refrained for making a comment on a post by the local surgery reporting phone problems and asking people to bare with them. Strip tease anyone?
