Just had another experimental meal. Rice with frozen green peas and raisins microwaved plus bits of pork and apple sausage and a bit of Stornoway black pudding fried then mixed in. Very nice.

I notice the sheep in the field opposite have been shorn and one has a hoody crow sitting on it’s back.
I used to help at my grandfather’s croft and my job was to pack the fleeces into enormous hessian sacks and jump inside them to pack the wool tighter when they were hanging from a beam. They went to Hunter’s of Brora woollen mill.
Used to tie the shorn fleece, having cleared the worst off, then tie them.
No longer done as wool is falling out of fashion and the price is that low that letting the fleeces rot is cheaper.

Back feeling a bit better so risked a 20 mile gentle ride this evening. I didn't mean to go that far but it felt okay and the weather was nice. Hopefully there is no payback for this in the morning.

I met a Saab 96 (V4) when out. :becool: Don't see many of them around here.

Had home made Nasi Goreng for supper.

I love that!
Treating myself with some alfresco sweets after some cycling earlier.

Totally off-the-wall, but does anyone have a good recommendation for a small popcorn machine?

I find making popcorn on an electric hob unsatisfactory. It's so hit and miss.
