Real rain this morning as opposed to the just damp we have had recently.

I seem to have been awarded a trophy for being here 13 years.
No dramatics out of Calmac this morning either so our ferry must be running on time for a change.
An indoors day today I think but it gives me time to get the mobility scooter out and work out how to unfold it it before having a trial run up and down my living room before checking the battery charge.
A bit embarrassing to get it out of the car in public and then have forgotten how to unfold and also fold it up again when returning. I also need to work out how to carry shopping on it and may try to adapt one of the many bike bags I seem to have accumulated.

Decision made - I'm taking the earlier local train to Ipswich just in case of delays so it's now time for breakfast as I'll need to leave home in 45 minutes.

Didn't take long for the early optimistic hopes for the weather to fade as the patches of blue sky have already been filled in.

I got a car tax reminder about an hour ago so I paid it. But now I've been sent a DVLA message with a security code. ''Have I missed something?'' I ask. So I go back to the Gov.uk site and double check. Yes, that's paid. So what am I supposed to do with the security code? Anybody want a security code going free?

A lot of fear was generated over something that for most people was much like the flu. And nobody had the guts to put the blame where it belonged, the lab in China.

Certainly in the UK, it suited the authorities to put Covid on the death cert to keep the fear alive.

A million Americans died. Sure, you can say they were old, or sick, or what-have -you, but the true test of any civilization is how it treats the people who need help the most. And these stories of fear mongering by putting covid on a death certificate go both against good practice and medical ethics. It is just a two for one, trying to diminish the damage done by covid and besmirch the medical profession because they are not telling the right what they want to hear. I have heard far too many of Mr. Murdoch's organizations fables not to recognize them when I hear them.
