Talk is turning to Jos' threats for Max to go to Mercedes. Apparently to only way Max can go (unless RB accept a payment to release him, which I can't see ever happening) is for Helmut to leave, a scenario which then gives Max the power to activate a break clause, so I guess its all eyes on Marko.

Toto's alleged meetings/meal with Jos seems suss or a blatant attempt to add fuel to the fire.

It's got more drama than Eastenders and we're only on race 1

This has just come to me in a flash of inspiration...

Prediction - Sainz to Red Bull in 2025 to take Perez's seat. That way if they lose Max they'll have someone with talent and experience to act as a placeholder and maybe even win some races while they scout about for the next long term young talent. Having made the jump he'd likely be in a position to rub Fezzas nose in it on the track.

You heard it here first folks.

Sainz to Red Bull would be good for Sainz but the pressure to waste his talent and go Sauber / Audi will be huge. I'll believe Audi will be on the grid when I see it.

If Perez gets 2nd again this year he'll get another year. Mostly for the media/social media attention the brand gets from all the stories of his immanent sacking has got since he first signed.

And yet I can't see why Max would want to leave given he has a car which is so much better than all the other cars and which he can drive and win every single race this season by the look of it. Any move would be a downgrade. Horner is probably the least important spoke in the wheel.

It was an interesting read which now seems to have been taken down and you also can't view the archived version.
