It's funny how you have so much ire towards a man such that you can't even spell his name correctly.

Presumably you prefer the all round good guy, Christian Horner?

I doubt Totoe can spell my name correctly either. Imdoubt uou could, come to that. So what? It's an utter irrelevance.

Not got a lot of time for Red Bull Spice either - hence me calling him Red Bull Spice - although he did go up a notch in my estimation when Tottoe spoke publicly about his MH struggles and Red Bull Spice spoke up in support of him. That makes me suspect that he at least keeps the rivalrly businesslike in his mind and is able to separate the business from the personalities, something that Totto's behavior leads me to believe he struggles with.

But again, an irrelevance, particularly as I have stated many times on this very thread, were you to bother reading it, that I do not support any one team or driver (although there are certainly personalities I dont like much), preferring as I do to enjoy the spectacle as a whole. I offer my praise or criticism as I feel any parrticular driver or team deserves, and not on the basis of any juvenile fandom, as I would suggest you do given the chosen wording of the question. I'm sure Wolfy would approve. Lately RBS hasn't said or done much that deserves any real shaking of my head and sage under my breath tutting, but I'm sure he will soon enough.

Yes, but also not a Red Bull fan. I'd also happily see a McLaren victory again, or Russell taking the WDC, or Alonso or Stroll.
To me Wolff comes across as being sportsman like and reasonable.

Ah , that explains it.

Wollf, a sportsman? He said that with a straight face!

Of all the team principals he's one of the biggest whingers when his man doesn't win, and was the first to lobby for a ride height rule change last year in oder to disadvantage their rivals and force them to run at the height Mercedes was having to. And the rule makers gladly accommodated them, as they generally do when Mercedes want something. Couldn't make his own car better so lobbying to disadvantage those that could is hardly sporting.

As much as Red Bull Spice - and remember, it's you who brought him into this element of the discussion, not me - has set my teeth on edge on many occasions, he was always cheery and pragmatic during the lean years. Little in the way of whinging about the result, or blaming others for it. "We did our best, but team tippex deserved the win, well come back fighting at the next race and try and do better" is the sort of bland, but nevertheless moderate and honest, statements that RBS would make after their man had failed to win yet another race. And then he'd go off and party and enjoy himself, whereas Totto would lock himself away and punch a sack of potatoes with Red Bull Spices picture on the side for half an hour.

One thing I don't find gracious about RBS is that he clearly knows how to punch Tito's buttons, and does so with good effect. That said, Totem does open himself to it and a man of his clear talent and intelligence should know better, and RBS's aforementioned public support for Toasto in other matters outside of F1 does again suggest that he is clearly much better at separating business from the personalities than Toado.

I'm surprised to see anyone mention Stroll. I'm by no means an expert, but he doesn't seem that good and only has a seat because his dad buys teams. Seems a bit of a child too if that push on his trainer at Bahrain is anything to go by.

This is true. If he come from "the slums" like Lewis claimed to he'd have learned some humility. Oh, wait...

TBH I only included Stroll because I like Aston Martin, not because I rate him as a driver.

Yeah. What a snoflake - lobbying to get the cars to run a bit higher to protect the health of the drivers. Just awful.

And the rule makers gladly accommodated them, as they generally do when Mercedes want something.
Your definition of "gladly accommodating them" is to refuse most of the demands and agree a compromise of 15mm at the floor edge is it?

Couldn't make his own car better so lobbying to disadvantage those that could is hardly sporting.
Lucky he didn't do that then.

Yeah well those days have long gone. He's still boasting about RB's 2021 WDC "win".

Entirely fair. It's great seeing Alonso do so well with them too, and he seems to have lost what I found a fairly unlikeable arrogant streak.

Alonso seems to have matured greatly this season. He's also cracked some brilliant funnies, so is clearly feeling more comfortable and at ease.

I see Max wants a crack at Le Man but will only do so if Alonso is one of the other drivers, which must surely be a compliment.

I read that Wollf and Red Bull Spice had a stand up argument at one meeting about Woolf having supposed insider knowledge, which was witnessed by team principals and various FIA officials.

All the teams are denying they grassed, and the FIA are saying the complaint was raised internally by one of their own officials.

That being the case it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, so unless evidence to the contrary comes to light we seemingly have on our hands a small aquatic bird of the genus anatidae, and an FIA officials started this one rolling.

I'll just leave this here. It's a clipping from a book by Gerald Donaldson that he wrote in the late 80s. Nothing much has changed. (scanned from Autosport, 25/10/90)

That didn't take long!

I don't think that'll be the end of the mutterings though. Nine other TPs heard him trotting out confidential info from the FIA, with RBS being so concerned they had a stand up argument about it in fron of the other TPs and FIA onlookers...so where did the info come from?
