The FIA have dropped this like a hot potato. Given FOM, Merc, the wolffs and 9 TP's input all went against the FIA, it makes you wonder what Ben is up to.

He has an axe to grind for some reason and has for a while. Its not even veiled.

Bin Sulayem is a tinpot dictator with delusions of godhood, albeit bankrolled and manipulated by middle eastern oil money. I don't think his agenda is his own. (Same as is happening in golf, football and women's tennis)

I wish someone sensible like Vatanen had got the gig, but money talks and cow poo walks.

Well Alonso did so in 2018, winning Le Mans while also an active F1 driver.

True, and the record books will show this - but the 2018 Le Mans race was really Toyota's to lose, with no serious competition. Toyota 1-2 with 3rd place (Rebellion) 12 laps down. It's still a great feat to get the car to the end, but it wasn't a classic race (I was there and was in the pit lane as they rolled him (plus Buemi and Nakajima) and his car to the podium; this is the only Le Mans race I have been to).

All true, but the point was that Alonso was allowed to race Le Mans while still contracted to an F1 team.

I see Tito Woolf is feigning indignance about the slur on his good name and has stated he is considering his legal options. However, I've carefully read everything the FIA have officially stated on the matter and its all very neutral, simply reporting a complaint has been made and they are looking at it. Not at all accusatory.

And that's Tonto's problem. He cries wolf(!) Too often and as a result no one is impressed or scared when he makes these threats because its rare he follows through on them and even rarer he succeeds.

This is all time, effort and mental capacity that would be better spent on improving the team and its cars, but he'd rather waste it talking to the media making threats no one will believe anyway. When they fail to improve relative to Red Bull next season you'll know why.

My son just said he’d like tickets to
Silverstone for Christmas. A bit late to spring this on me.
The current cheapest ticket is £409 for a general access pass. No
Seating or parking included, so would be £818 for me and him!
Can anyone offer any tips for getting reasonable priced tickets for 2025?

Have a look at other venues. Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Austria etc. Most European circuits offer better value for F1 than Silverstone
