OP here! :hello:

I actually currently prefer BTCC (plus support package) and Formula E to Formula 1, although F1 was where I started my fandom, way back in 1982. What goes round comes around I guess.

Have lost interest in rallying and sportscars at the moment, the former because they've sanitized it too far IMHO, and the latter - well we'll see what the new Hypercar era brings.

Historic racing also floats my boat.

:laugh::laugh::laugh:F E Absolute rubbish,

Re motor racing other than F1.

I find it hard to find any other racing other than F1 To watch on available channels.

I used to go to Brands Hatch regularly when I lived about 10 miles from the circuit - Renault Clio Cup was fun to watch.

Is Porsche Cup Racing still a thing? - last saw that when I watched Nige In red 5 at Silverstone when it was a support act; seemed very slow compared to tge F1 cars.

A great time was had by Mrs SD & I, hosted by Fosters (very lavish in a huge Marquee), we had the whole works including pit lane passes.

The whole BTTC card is on live on ITV4 with catch up and BARC has its races live on youtube https://www.youtube.com/@britishautomobileracingclub/featured.
Handy if you like your racing without the millions spend on hospitality.

Yes. You've got the Supercup, which is a pan-european series and regularly supports various Grands Prix (keep an eye out for Harry King in that one. And then you've got the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, which runs on the BTCC support package, but there are other rounds which aren't. And then you've got the Cayman Sprint Cup, which also has had the odd slot on the TOCA package.

A lot of coverage is now streamed live on Youtube. You may need to hunt for it though, but it IS out there.

For my sins I quite like Nascar but you don't seem to be able to get it over here & I haven't 4 hours to watch them go round & round & round & round

As has already been said, a lot of the UK clubs (Classic Sportscar Club, BRSCC, BARC, 750MC) live stream their meetings on YouTube and normally have links to the appropriate stream from their website home pages
GT World on YouTube live streams GT racing from around the world, including the British GT series, GT World Endurance (the old Blancpain championship), Bathurst 12 Hours, etc.
US Sportscar racing is on IMSA TV
NASCAR is on Viaplay (used to be known as Premier Sports), but this is a subscription service
If you have Eurosport, they cover the World Endurance Championship (including the 24 hours of Le Mans) and whatever the WTCC decides to become this year
Sky Sports F1 channel also shows Indycar from the US

As for personal motorsport preferences for me its NOT Formula E. I've tried but no matter how good the racing may be, it's the lack of an engine noise and the presence of the electric motor whine coupled with narrow street tracks making it all stop start that I don't like.

Other than that give me anything especially if it's at a track I can get to and watch in person - historics, club racing (the BARC/CTCRC mixture especially), BTCC, British GTs, the WEC and International GTs (until they stopped coming here due to Covid/Brexit), Formula 1 on TV I can tolerate (although they need to cut back to around 16-18 races per year). I'm lucky in that Snetterton is about an hour each way, Brands Hatch 1.5 Hours, Silverstone 2 Hours and Donington & Mallory Park 2.5 hours.

My MSVR season ticket for this year has already arrived, I have a ticket & hotel booked for Silverstone's BTCC round in September and I just can't wait.

Toto Wolf has said that it looks like Red Bull are going to win every race this year and that it's going to be very boring !
I think it's time for some back markers to ignore blue flags and to wander into their path .
