Mentioning Radio 2 - OJ Borge was part of Chris Hoy's Doddie Aid ride this morning on Zwift, which he runs for 6 weeks this year along with guest riders.

He's been covering things and I'm wondering if they'll pop him in to replace Ken.

I'd be happy with OJ, obviously equally good people are out there? Some might be even better as they pick the playlist (you need to like) - oh hang on the producer/sponsor/scamner have input... So a real no thanks from me to shitverts every 10mins [1]. (BBC/mega corp self promo stuff really isn't in the same league). Has anyone actually bought anything from a TV/radio advert? thought not, but if you think you did, was it actually bargain? [2]

[1] even the radio shows 'sponsored by' and supposedly less interrupted, such as the original "ginger whinger" (Chris Evans) are just too much.
[2] so what was it, when was it, and what was the discount you think you got from compared to a local LBS/whatever shop, that you probably contributed to failing?

Absolute Radio Group have Frank Skinner on Saturday AM & Jason Manford on Sunday AM, over every station they have, obviously prerecorded, with the playlist worked around the abject drivel they come out with, both are dreadful on radio, but they're blocking spots that some genuine talent could have, it's lazy programming

I love both shows and both presenters.
That’s the trouble with for radio owners , who ever they employ, someone wont like them .

I can see O J Borge in the roll quite nicely.

The other name that seems to be getting a few more slots is DJ spoony . I first heard of him sitting in for Steve Wright a few times but seems to be doing more shows .

Indeed, O J Borg hosted a cycling podcast a few years ago, I wondered if he was still active in that respect.

Are you been serious, I can't comment on Mark and Lard as I have never heard them, I can listen to Ken Bruce during Pop Master and thats about it, and couldn't listen to Wogan at all, he was dire.
As for all the so called celebrity DJs, what are they thinking.
